For clinics
Offer a plan your patients can say yes to — without your clinicians ever discussing money.
Tenor is a point-of-payment instalment programme built around the Healthcare Services Act, the SMC Ethical Code and your professional reputation. Your clinic is paid in two business days; Tenor carries enrolment, servicing and collections.
Indicative. Merchant discount is agreed per clinic and per tenor and is never passed to the patient as a surcharge: the cash price and the financed price must be identical.
Why clinics choose Tenor
Designed around your obligations, not ours
Compliant by construction
Payment plans are raised only at the point of payment, in line with MOH guidance on the Advertisement Regulations. No display material, no website mention, no promotion — Tenor never asks you to advertise finance.
Your clinicians are protected
The treating clinician does not present, discuss or sit in on financing. Above S$2,000, Tenor's own team enrols the patient. No staff bonus or target is ever linked to take-up.
Paid fast, disputes handled
85% settled within two business days; a 15% reserve released at post-operative sign-off. Tenor handles every collections conversation to a published hardship policy — the patient's aftercare is never affected.
Onboarding
Live in about two weeks
Eligibility
Current HCSA licence in good standing, professional indemnity cover of at least S$2M per claim, and a written revision and remediation policy.
Agreement
A single merchant services agreement with the Presentation Protocol and staff certification syllabus as schedules.
Certification
Every team member who will present the plan completes Tenor's online certification. Takes under an hour.
Go live
Your clinic is set up on the enrolment platform. A Tenor partner manager stays with you for the first month.
The Presentation Protocol
What we ask of every partner clinic
- The treating clinician does not present, discuss or attend the discussion of financing terms.
- Financing is not raised before or during clinical consultation, nor during treatment.
- No offer to anyone under 21.
- Above S$2,000, enrolment is completed by Tenor, not clinic staff.
- No advertising, display, website or social reference to the availability of financing.
- No staff remuneration or incentive linked to financing volume or take-up.
Tenor audits enrolment records, mystery-shops the presentation and interviews a sample of enrolled patients. Breach is a material breach of the agreement.
